Operation Support Our Troops

Ela Library will run a collection for the troops May 16-30. Help our troops in the Middle East. A variety of specific items are needed for this collection. Visit our website for a detailed list www.eapl.org
We will also collect letters. Please address unsealed letters to "Dear Military Person". No postage needed. If you would like to receive a response, include your name and address. Collection boxes are located in the library's lobby. You can get a list of top ten items at www.osotil.org

Lunch With Bestselling Author Elizabeth Berg

Elizabeth Berg is the author of many bestselling novels as well as two works of nonfiction. Open House was an Oprah's Book Club selection; Durable Goods and Joy School were selected as ALA Best Books of the Year; and Talk Before Sleep was short listed for an Abby award. Green Your Routine-Recycling Event

Ela Area Public Library will host a recycling event. Learn how easy it is to be green. Activities include: free, secure *shredding of personal documents (limit 3 boxes), household battery recycling, a Swap-a-loosa (re-purpose your old books, CDs, DVDs, yarn & fabric and swap it for something new); a craft; opportunity to talk to local recycling organizations. Sponsored by the Friends of Ela Library, a 501(c)(3) organization. 10am-n00n Sat. May 1(No Registration)

Due to the retirement of a key member of our team, we seek an energetic and people-oriented Project Specialist to work a flexible schedule of 20-30 hours per week. The Project Specialist will support our business and customers by planning and completing projects in:

• Event planning
• Marketing collateral development
• Sales presentations
• Office operations
• Status reports and client correspondence
• Affiliate referrals and affiliate project management

We seek an individual with the following qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of college.
• A minimum of five years experience in business demonstrating well-developed competencies in project planning and implementation, quality, design, and creativity.
• Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
• The ability to type at least 60 wpm.
• A professional, customer-focused mindset.
• Previous experience working in a sales or marketing environment would be a plus – especially web-based sales and marketing.
• Knowledge of ACT CRM is a plus.

This position has potential to become full-time in the future.
